EMBUTIDOS MORENO SAEZ, S.L. is a family business that was founded by V. Samuel Moreno Saez in 1962, when he separated from the cured meat factory inherited by him and his brother from their father, Baldomero Moreno, in a town in La Rioja. The reason why he chose Soria as the site for his factory was basically its exceptional climate, which offered optimal conditions for curing and drying meat naturally. Soria sits on the high plateau of Castile – approximately 1,000 metres above sea level – which means it enjoys a very cold and extremely dry continental climate. This is perfect for naturally drying and curing the meats and marinated meats produced in these lands. This is why our province is a top chorizo producer in Spain and is renowned for the excellent quality of the products we manufacture.
